True to the german motto "Everything new comes in May", BMS Maschinenfabrik is breaking new ground in its own energy supply. The roof of the production hall has been adorned by a state-of-the-art photovoltaic system since 6th May 2022.
During planning and installation, attention was paid to the greatest possible potential: The system was elevated in order to achieve an optimal alignment and at the same time enable the self-cleaning effect.
The focus of energy generation is to be on self-consumption, but the surplus is fed into the power grid. BMS estimates that approximately 110,500 kWh can be generated annually, of which approximately 60% will be self-consumed. This saves about 35.2 tons of CO2 per year.
